Art Attack 2013

Had a great time Saturday painting with about 60 other artists in downtown Fredericksburg. It was a PERFECT day--clear blue sky, temp in the 70s, and a big crowd. I did more talking than painting but everyone was interested in my sketchbook. I actually did 3 small paintings working from sketches (which I hardly ever do). I haven't had a chance to scan them but will post them soon. Meanwhile, here's a shot of me working that my pal Robyn Ryan took:

Looking forward to seeing what you painted. That's quite a tripod setup. Please do tell more about that, too :)

Hi Pam,
The easel is new and I found that trying to paint standing up was a challenge. I ended up sitting down to work on the details. The easel is a camera tripod with telescoping legs that can be adjusted for standing or sitting. It has a quick release attachment on the top with a corresponding one on the tray that holds my paper/canvas. The lower tray is made to fit snugly on the front two legs and hold my palette and has a hole for a cup of water. I got it online from:http://www.enpleinairpro.com/advanced_series_watercolor_easel.html
